Rose review: Max Factor Eye Brightening Tonal Black Volumising Review

Hi lovelys,

When I needed a new mascara a while ago, I just had a little look around Boots and thought this one looked interesting. I picked it up, so here's my review of this Max Factor mascara!

The reason I picked this one up especially was really because of its 'tonal' properties. It comes in three different varieties (one for brown eyes, one for blue and one for green), and claims to brighten the colour of your eyes. I personally don't see much difference in this specific area, in the bottle or on my eyes, but my eyes definitely look bright! (pictures of my eyes aren't edited)

Wand, tube and eyes with it on.
I really like both the formulation and wand of this mascara. I like how together you can get a nice natural look (like above), but is easily built up to very dramatic lashes. I'd say it's definitely more suited for people who need length rather than fullness or volume, because although it makes my lashes voluminous, it really takes the prize for its lengthening properties. Individually, the brush is perfect for me: not too small, but not unreasonably huge. The formulation is really nice and doesn't clump at all.

£7.99 here.

So I hope you all enjoyed this post, and let me know if you have this and what you thought!!
Bye!!xx

Loving and lusting... #1

Hi everyone!
Today I thought I'd start a new feature on my blog called "loving and lusting." The idea is basically that every Sunday morning I will put up a post showing you the 3 things top of my wishlist this week. If you like the idea, feel free to join in and link up your posts below.
Every week I will show you all a fashion, beauty and random lust, if you're planning on joining in.
As its getting near Christmas a few of these things are on my list, so (hopefully!!) maybe you'll see them featured soon...

1-clothes.
I follow Ella Henderson on Twitter (@ellahenderson), and have seen her mention these squeaky jumpers quite a lot. I think they're so cute and fun, and with leggings think they'd make a lovely casual outfit! They're quite novelty, so would make for a perfect gift! I like all the designs but as I had to choose one this is probably my favorite. They are quite expensive, though at £39.95

2-beauty.
For beauty I really love the look of this Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit. It's such a hyped up product that I'd love to try; it looks gorgeous, practical and well worth the money. I've seen so many good reviews and although it doesn't apply to me think it's great they have such a wide colour range. It's £24.
3-random.
I think this cushion from Urban Outfitters is just so cute and fun. I can just imagine it making a room look so lovely, and the first thing I think when I see it is Aubin & Wills! I've seen it (or something very similar) in the background of some of essiebutton's videos and it looks gorgeous. It's £26.

So I hope you've all enjoyed this post, and hopefully it will become a regular feature!
Bye!!xx

Rose review: REN hydra-calm global protection day cream

Hi everyone!
When I got a sample of this moisturiser a while back, I wasn't too excited. I'm not sure why, it may have been because I knew I would never repurchase it due to REN being such a high-end brand and was afraid of falling in love; it may have been because I thought I would only get a few uses out of it due to it being such a small sample.

But oh my god I love this so much.
So much.
Soo, so much.
SO MUCH.

Yep, really that much, haha :)

Ok, so raving aside I'll get on with the review...
In terms of the brand and packaging it's a thumbs up from me. I love REN for its ethos, and find the packaging so lovely. I just wish it was a tiny but cheaper to be honest! Because as much as I rave about this product, it's like £30 for the full size, which I would just never spend on a moisturiser.
However, in terms of its moisturising capabilities it is AB.SO.LUTE.LY. AMAZING.
And trust me, I'm not exaggerating. As I'm using it very sparingly I've been using it as a kind of treatment cream. And I joke not, I put this on a dry patch on my forehead a couple of nights ago, and when I woke up it was completely back to normal and as moisturised as...... Something very moisturised! Oh and also, for a patch around 2-3 square inches big I used an amount literally equal to an ant. Smaller than a pea. Waay smaller.
I also used this on my holiday when my skin was soo dry, clogged up with suncream and just awful from jumping in and out of the pool multiple times a day. And a pea sized amount all over my face saved.my.skin.

So that's my review finished, I know I got a bit excited but I hope you enjoyed and found it useful! If you have any questions feel free to contact me (email at top of page in contact me).
Bye!xx

Rose review: Paperchase Rosemary and Peppermint Scented Bubble Bath

Hi everyone!
Today I have a review of this Paperchase bubble bath for you. Now I would never usually go to Paperchase for bath or beauty products, but I was given this for ny birthday so thought I would try it out.

I actually really like the packaging of this. Even though it's plastic, I love the little old-school 'bottle top'. This doesn't actually open and you have to open the whole top which I was a bit disappointed with, but I love the overall appearance.

In terms of the actual product, the colour is very nice. It doesn't transfer to the bath. The scent is nice and relaxing, albeit not very strong. It makes nice bubbles, and obviously the speed you finish it up at depends on how bubbly you like your bath!

I don't really know what else to say about this, but overall I think this is a really nice product, and would be a really good gift for someone just getting into beauty, as it isn't especially luxurious but lovely all the same.

I'm not sure about the cost as it was a gift, but you should be able to get it in Paperchase.

I hope you enjoyed this post and as always feel free to comment below!

bang

BANG!!!
Unless you live under a rock, you will know for the past few weeks, fireworks have been banging everywhere, particularly where I live. I was going to do a dedicated post but we didn't really go to any fireworks because we were away for when most of them were on. So we just drove around a bit because I needed pictures for my art homework.  I'm only going to show one picture because the other thing I want to talk about in this post is cakepops.
I made some firework-themed ones for a cake sale at school, but stupidly forgot to take a picture so this is just the last ones. Sorry about the rubbish photo but I had to do it quickly before they all got eaten up!
So basically, would you like to see some cakepop-themed, baking posts? What are your thoughts on that?

So sorry this is a bit of a random post but hope you enjoyed it. If you have a fireworks post please leave your links below.
Bye!xx

FMS photo a day October summary!

Hi everyone!
Today I thought I would do a summary of the pictures I took everyday in October for FMS photo a day. If you don't know what it is, Chantelle, the writer of her blog Fat Mum Slim (link), basically gives a list of prompts and you have to put up a photo every day based on that prompt. You can upload it to any social network platform you choose, but I chose Twitter and Instagram. I really enjoyed it and would reccommend! I want to do the December one but I'm away for the first day or two of the month so I'm not sure if it will work...
So here the pictures and the list! My blogger sometimes mixes the order of the pictures in posts up so the first picture should be the leaf in the puddle. After that they're all in order, except for day 7 which is the last picture (there's a gap).
If any of you did this 'challenge', feel free to leave them below! Bye!xx
